During my junior year of college, I wanted to make a chill game that could be played by friends hanging out together.
The setting of the game takes place during the week of finals. When the students don't have time to safely move their plants indoor until exams are over.
The players can choose to be either a plant or a student. Both needing to take care of each other to outlast their demanding schedule.
Each passing day may bring unexpected challenges from the weather. Or calm evenings perfect for studying.
Iterating over a few different drafts of the handbook, I added in illustrations to help players come up with their own drawings.
Once the manual was finished, I included song recommendations for people to enjoy during the game. Songs featured several different languages and even instrumental pieces.
Online sessions of group playtesting were hosted for about two weeks. They really enjoyed the game and it was fun seeing their doodles.
